The site

Graphing Calculator Apps has existed since 2013. We compare calculator apps for students, teachers and schools — what they cost, which platforms they run on, whether they show ads, and how faithfully they reproduce the classic classroom calculator workflow.

How we test

Every app we review is installed and run through the same coursework checklist: function entry and graphing, tracing and zeros, window and zoom settings, statistics and regressions, matrices, and distribution functions. We verify current pricing and platform availability before every update. If you spot an error, email contact@graphingcalculatorapps.com and we'll fix it.

Editorial approach

We assess calculator apps around the work students and teachers need to do: entering expressions, graphing, analyzing data and following classroom instructions. Feature articles explain who a capability is useful for, what it changes in the workflow and which purchase options apply. Where an article evaluates documented features, we link to the relevant sources and identify illustrative examples.
